The spaces
What is The Beacon?
The Beacon is our main-floor studio: bright, design-forward, and curated by our current Spotlight stager. It features styled vignettes, open space, and natural light, perfect for photography, content creation, and intimate events.
What is The Vault?
The Vault is our lower-level lounge and boardroom space featuring cozy seating, a kitchenette, a TV, a whiteboard, and flexible layouts. It’s ideal for meetings, workshops, and gatherings that need focus and flow.
Can I book both floors?
Yes! That’s our Full House option, giving you access to both The Beacon and The Vault. It’s perfect for events, content days, corporate workshops, or sessions needing multiple backdrops and zones.
Do you have a kitchen?
The Vault includes a kitchenette with counter space, a small fridge, microwave and sink, perfect for hosting, catering, and refreshments. The Suite has a full kitchen.
Can I rearrange the furniture?
Small items can be moved and returned lightly. For larger resets or full reconfigurations, we offer a reset option to ensure the space stays safe and beautifully styled.

Does the furniture stay the same?
The furniture does change. We restyle the rooms as we curate them, and we do our best to keep the website up to date. If you’re looking for a specific piece, connect with us and we’ll confirm it’s here.
Booking
How do I book?
Studio sessions book online. Meetings and workshops and events start with an inquiry so we can confirm the right setup.
Can I host events?
Yes! Lumen House is ideal for workshops, networking events, launches, tastings, strategy sessions, small celebrations, and community gatherings. For larger or more complex events, start an event inquiry.
How early should I arrive for my booking?
Please arrive at your scheduled time. If you need early entry for setup, you can add extra buffer time to your booking. You will be sent a one-time access code shortly before your scheduled time.
Do you offer refunds or rescheduling?
Rescheduling is available with adequate notice, depending on availability. Refund policies vary based on booking type and processing fees.
Food, drink & house policies
Do you allow outside food & beverages?
Absolutely. Catering and outside food is welcome and may be subject to a cleaning fee.
If you wish to have alcohol, you’ll need a Special Occasions Permit and insurance. We offer a partnership discount with Bulles et Bières for an elevated bar experience, and they handle the liability. We also have a partnership with Posh Cheeseboards.
What is the shoe policy?
To protect our staging and textiles, Lumen House requires clean, indoor shoes. Creative socks are encouraged, and slippers are welcome.
Do you allow pets?
No, but we love our fuzzy family members too! No pets ensures our studio remains clean and bright for us all to shine.
Where do I park?
We have limited free parking off Oxford Street, to the west of the building (GPS: 210 Oxford Street). There is ample parking on the northwest corner of Richmond & Oxford at the CIBC bank and at the grocery store, in addition to street parking.
